There is a lot of talk about the need to consider the consequences of our actions on future generations… but when do we really connect with them? We offer an immersive workshop, based on the principles of deliberative democracy: a guided dialogue with the seventh generation. This is a novel exercise that calls on everyone’s ability to think in the long term. It is about drawing on one’s imagination – and creativity – to meet and exchange with our distant descendants, those who will have to live with the choices we make today. This workshop aims to produce visions of a desirable Brussels in 2030, as a European cultural capital, a city that takes into account future generations and better involves citizens in decision-making.
